The "ComedySportz Referee Workshop" provides an in depth look into the mechanics and responsibilities of the ComedySportz referee as instructed by 14 year CSz referee veteran, David Bogan. You will learn a wide variety of skills and techniques that will not only improve your abilities as a referee, but you will also learn to recognize the discipline and timing that is necessary to maximize the quality of the improvisational scene. It's a great way to improve your awareness and timing as a ComedySportz player, and refine your public speaking skills!
You must either be a professional ComedySportz player or have a minimum of two full seasons in the ComedySportz Recreational League in order to register for this workshop. This is a four week course, one night a week. Those who complete this course, will have the opportunity to ref ComedySportz High School League shows per availability.
David Bogan has been a professional ComedySportz performer and referee since 1997. He is also a long time improvisational instructor teaching a wide variety of beginner, intermediate and advanced courses. He is a founding and current and teacher of the Milwaukee "ComedySportz Recreational League". He also was one of the founding writers, directors, producers and performers of the sketch comedy troupe, "Monkey Knife Fight", and periodically performs with the long form improv troupe, "The Midnight Show".

Class is designed to go over mime and gibberish skills. Includes improv games such as Six Things, Chain Murder and Guess That Thing.
Learn the skills it takes to give clues and guess with confidence; as well as keeping action on stage with continuous gibberish.
Matt Garnaas is a long time veteran of the Milwaukee improv scene. He does improv with ComedySportz and The Midnight Show.
